Our Mission
The Tack House exists to strengthen the equestrian community through a trusted, welfare-first marketplace that makes riding more accessible to all and turns everyday purchases into meaningful impact.
We connect riders, brands, and non-profits through transparent commerce and reinvest in youth riding access, horse rescue and rehabilitation, and equine research so more people can ride, more horses can thrive, and the industry can grow.
We’re serious about horses and the industry, but never too serious to have a little fun, because a stronger community should feel welcoming, not intimidating.

A portion of every sale supports rider scholarships and equine research. We don’t hide the numbers, bury the fine print, or make you guess where the money goes.

List your own items, or consign with us and walk away. We clean, photograph, price, and sell, you just decide what happens next.
Donation powered opportunities
Donate tack or apparel and turn unused gear into lessons, scholarships, and second chances. Some items get a second ride, others help someone start their first.

This isn’t just about buying and selling. We’re building a place for riders, trainers, rescues, and horse people who actually want to support each other.
Zero judgment, barn chaos encouraged
Mud happens! Tack gets scuffed. Jackets don’t always match breeches. We’re here for the real horse world, not the perfectly curated one.

We are a small (and we mean small), passionate team that is building something big. We’ll learn, tweak, fix, and occasionally trip over a lead rope, but we promise to listen, improve, and grow alongside this community. Please be patient with us.
Who We Are
The Tack House was created by horse people who know how much heart, time, and money goes into this sport, and how many good riders and good horses get left out.
We’ve spent years in barns, at shows, and behind the scenes, and we saw the same thing over and over: great tack sitting unused, and riders who just needed one small opportunity to keep going. We also saw the same thing from small suppliers who could not get traction on their amazing products and stopped producing.
So we decided to build something better.
We’re a very small, hands-on team creating a community-powered equestrian marketplace headquartered in
Rockwood, Ontario, where buying, selling, consigning, and donating all work together to make riding more accessible.
We believe in transparency, fairness, and doing things the right way -even when it takes longer. We’re learning as we grow (be patient with us!), we care deeply about the details, and we’re hoping to build this with (not just for) the equestrian community.
